I have been waiting a long time to see this book up for sale, and I couldn’t be more excited for author Michelle Merrill. Naturally, I jumped at the chance to participate in this blog party. Grab your tissues and buckle up because you’re about to ride an emotional roller coaster with this gorgeous debut novel, Changing Fate.
As an added bonus, check out the book trailer here and win a free copy by visiting other blogs that have joined the promotion party. (See details below.) Or if you’re like me, and completely impatient when you see something you HAVE to read, you can purchase Changing Fate here. It’s a great book at a great price ($2.99 the rest of May to celebrate Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month), and half the proceeds will go to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. It doesn’t get much better than that.
Here’s the blurb:
All Kate wants is to live. Battling cystic fibrosis is hard enough, dying from it is even harder. When her mom moves them closer to the hospital in the middle of her senior year, Kate’s determined to isolate herself—saving everyone the trouble of befriending a dying girl. It’s a difficult task when cheerful optimist Giana insists on being Kate’s friend.
Kate’s resolve falters even more when curly-haired Kyler captivates her with his sweet melodies. As her emotional walls collapse, Kate realizes the people she’s been pushing away may be the ones giving her a reason to live. But it might be too late.

Two Fun Facts about Michelle:
7. My favorite treat is candy: gummy, chewy, sugary. The kind that is terrible for even the best teeth. You’d think my sweet tooth would be absolutely rotted out. I think it’s the only strong one I have left. Go figure.
8. My favorite color is blue. Any shade. It’s the best color. It can represent happy things and sad times. Best for any occasion. Even though I love blue, I decorate mostly with red. I have red couches, red pictures, red curtains, and even a red Kitchenaid mixer. It’s such a warm color and it reminds me of the country.
